The Chilliwack Community Band invites you to an energetic and engaging evening of live music on Tuesday, May 12 at 7:00 PM at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre (Rotary Hall). This performance marks the band’s final major ticketed concert of the season, promising a vibrant program that spans beloved classics, jazz-inspired favourites, and iconic film scores.

Under the baton of its dedicated leadership, the band will take listeners on a musical journey across genres and eras. The evening opens with the triumphant “Invicta”, setting the stage for a program filled with contrast and colour. Audience members will enjoy the lyrical beauty of “Shenandoah”, the lively charm of “Rakes of Mallow”, and the irresistible rhythms of “Tico Tico.”

Broadway and jazz take the spotlight with “Cole Porter on Broadway” and selections from “Porgy and Bess,” while “Gospel in Dixieland” brings a spirited, foot-tapping energy. The program also features a taste of global and cultural traditions with a lively Klezmer selection.

Film music lovers won’t want to miss highlights from “How to Train Your Dragon” and a tribute to the legendary John Williams, whose unforgettable scores have defined generations of cinema.

With something for every musical taste, this concert showcases the versatility, passion, and community spirit that define the Chilliwack Community Band.
