"It's unexplainable."
A grateful Abbotsford family recently made a generous gift to the ARH ICU in recognition of the incredible care their loved one received while on the unit.
Mark's family was warned he likely wouldn't recover from his brain injury. What happened next, the family credits to the power of prayer, as well as the excellent care Mark received at the ARH ICU.

In addition to thanking each ICU staff member with a gift card, Mark’s family also chose to leave a lasting legacy by working with Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation to fund an Arctic Sun temperature management system. This piece of equipment is commonly used to induce therapeutic hypothermia, to reduce isochemic brain injury. It can also warm patients experiencing accidental hypothermia, or control fever in patients experiencing brain trauma. What an incredible legacy that will benefit so many patients moving forward.
"We extend our deepest gratitude to the ARH ICU team for taking such excellent care of Mark during his critical time in the unit. We are so thankful we are able to support the ICU with an Arctic Sun temperature management system, aiding in life saving measures that was used on Mark when he came in. This machine is donated in recognition to the power of prayer that our community mobilized with us, leading to his miraculous recovery." - The Heppell Family
