This Thanksgiving, we pause with grateful hearts to give thanks for the many blessings God has given us. You are one of those blessings!

We are so thankful for our children and families around the world, our incredible staff and volunteers, and every friend and supporter who helps make this ministry possible.

💛 Meet Farhat

At just six years old, Farhat has already experienced more uncertainty than any little girl should.

Her father passed away, and her biological mother was unable to provide the safe and stable home she needed. But when Farhat was about two years old, a caring mother in her community stepped into her life and opened her home and heart to her.

Although Farhat was not her biological child, she welcomed her into the family and raised her alongside her own children as one of them. For the past four years, this has been Farhat’s family. The children she has grown up with have become her brothers and sisters, giving her something incredibly precious after such an uncertain beginning: a place to belong.

Life for the family, however, has not been easy. Years of severe financial hardship, the loss of government assistance they once relied upon, and her caregiver’s declining health have made it increasingly difficult to provide food, clothing, education, healthcare and the other necessities the children need.

For little Farhat, the security she has known could once again have been at risk.

But she will not face this next chapter alone. 💛

Farhat has been welcomed into Upendo Home, where she will have a safe and loving home, nutritious food, an education, and people to care for, encourage and walk alongside her as she grows. Just as importantly, she can remain connected to the children she has grown up knowing as family.

At six years old, Farhat has so much life ahead of her. She deserves the freedom to simply be a little girl: to learn, play, laugh, make friends and dream about her future, secure in the knowledge that she is safe, cared for and deeply loved.

Farhat’s story began with loss and uncertainty. Today, a beautiful new chapter is beginning, one filled with belonging, opportunity and hope. 🌿💛

💕 Meet Glory 💕

At just one year old, Glory has a whole childhood waiting to unfold. Born on December 1, 2024, Glory recently came to Upendo Home in Tanzania after being identified through another agency as a little one whose family was facing significant challenges and needed additional care and support.

For Glory’s mother, providing all the necessities of life while facing difficult health and financial circumstances had become increasingly challenging. Upendo Home offers Glory the consistency and care needed during these important early years, including nutritious food, regular medical care and, as Glory grows, the opportunity for an education.

And there is so much growing still to do! New words to learn, little discoveries to make, friendships to form, school days to experience and dreams that have not even been dreamed yet.

It is a pleasure to share the photos of the Kilimanjaro climb. Again, THANK YOU to all who supported and prayed for us. It was a very successful fundraiser with over $78,000 raised. These funds will be used in the ongoing startup costs for the new children's home in Tanzania. We had an incredible team climbing and we are so grateful for the prayers and well wishes of our friends and family back home.

Glady has recently joined Upendo Home in Tanzania, where each day can now bring the things every child deserves: nourishing meals, an education, consistent care, a safe place to call home and plenty of opportunities to play and just be a little one.

Glady’s family has faced circumstances that made providing these everyday necessities very difficult. But today, there is so much reason to look forward with hope. At Upendo Home, Glady can be surrounded by caring people who will encourage Glady, celebrate each milestone and help Glady reach full potential.
