The Opening Reception of the Sweetness of Circles at the Odlum Brown Art Gallery was a magical experience. Artists Stacie Stewart and Teresa Klein have created a wonderful homage to Mother Earth based on a series of excursions into nature where participants reacted to their surroundings artistically on paper scrolls. Sto’lo Elder Eddie Gardner welcomed us in with story and song, Teresa and Stacie talked about the project and then reception attendees created butterflies to add to the installation. The Sweetness of Circles continues at the gallery until Sept 19. Gallery hours are Wed.-Sat from 12:00-5:00pm and selected evenings from 6:30-7:30.

Robin Fischer, Terri Van Sleuwen who work in mixed media to transform their personal

CVAA and Odlum Brown Art Gallery present
February 25 to March 28, 2026
"Decay and Rebirth"
Decay and rebirth describe the continuous natural cycle of things breaking down and
then beginning anew, seen in ecosystems, spiritual beliefs and art.
Artists frequently depict decay and rebirth to symbolize the fragility and resilience of life,
the passage of time, and the human condition.
Philosophers and spiritual leaders around the globe have explored the cycle of life,
death, and rebirth, and it’s inherent beauty.
Mythology too, with stories like the phoenix rising from its own ashes, have abounded in
written and spoken word.
