Last night six of our club members stood together as the tree in front of the Chilliwack RCMP detachment turned purple. 💜
We showed up for survivors and honoured the victims of intimate partner violence.

Our club president, Heather Rollins, spoke about how we are helping women and girls through our Live Your Dream Awards and Heather’s Hope Chest, supporting women as they work toward a better future and rebuild their lives.

Behind Heather stood the Silent Witnesses — silhouettes representing women who have been murdered as a result of intimate partner violence. Their presence was a powerful and heartbreaking reminder of the lives lost and the importance of this work.

It reminds us that behind every statistic is a real woman, a real story and, too often, a life cut short. It reminds us that intimate partner violence has no place in our community and that we all have a role to play in creating a safer future for women and girls.

There was a lot to unload, sort, organize and put away. It was a busy morning, and having so many helping hands made all the difference.
