What really happened inside the Borden household on that fateful day in 1892?

When Andrew and Abby Borden are found murdered in Fall River, Massachusetts, all eyes turn to their daughter Lizzie. Acquitted of the crime but forever linked to the legend, Lizzie Borden becomes one of history’s most infamous figures.

Set to bluegrass tunes, murder ballads, and plenty of dark humour, Bury the Hatchet brings you songs, sinners and a swinging axe, turning a notorious true crime tale into a wildly entertaining theatrical experience!

Let the music set the tone for your autumn evening. 🍂🎻

On October 24, the Chilliwack Metropolitan Orchestra takes the stage for Autumn Classics, bringing the works of Rossini, Prokofiev, and Beethoven to the HUB Theatre. With local pianist Emily Jou joining the orchestra for Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1, it’s an evening that pairs timeless music with exceptional talent from our own community!

These productions are presented by independent artists, companies, or organizations who rent our space to bring their own programming to the community.

🎨 Coloured series banner = Curated Show
Shows with a coloured series banner are part of our curated season lineup, selected by our team ahead of time to create a diverse mix of experiences that fill in the spaces left by shows our independent renters bring to The Centre.

Both curated and rental shows bring something unique to The Centre and our community, so this distinction can help you understand how each event came to be part of our calendar and which shows were intentionally selected and paired as part of our curated season!

Something wicked is taking the stage this Halloween… and it’s going to be a competition! 🎃

The Art of Halloween returns to the Rotary Hall Studio Theatre on October 30 as part of the Chilliwack Cultural Centre’s 2026 Q***r Arts Festival!

The evening kicks off at 6:30PM with cocktails, pizza, mingling, and a Halloween photo booth before The Valley Babes take the stage at 7:30PM with an all-new comedic cabaret. Six classic movie monsters will battle it out through song and dance to prove they’re the one who deserves to survive the night. 🧛‍♀️🧟‍♂️👻

Then it’s YOUR turn to get into character! After intermission and dessert, the costume contest takes over with prizes for Best in Show, Best Funny Costume, Best Scary Costume, and Best Couples or Group Costume. 🏆

Once the winners are crowned, the night wraps up with a DJ’d dance party. Come for the cabaret, come in costume, or come ready to dance.. however you celebrate, there’s a place for you at this spooky soirée!

The award winning improv comedians are back with a brand new show, bigger laughs, bolder energy, and even quicker wits!

The Comic St*****rs are a fictitious male revue troupe played by some of Canada’s top improvisers, delivering a fast paced, high energy comedy spectacle that gleefully spoofs classic strip show clichés.

Packed with audience interaction and razor sharp improv, the cast banters, sings, grooves, and “dances” their way through a completely unscripted night of crowd suggestions and fearless performances.
