March Madness has nothing on the Annual Knights of Columbus Free Throw coming up Sat. March 4th from 2-4pm at St. Mary's Gym. This fun event is open to all children 9-14 years old. Come shoot a few hoops...who knows maybe the budding young NBA stars will play a fun game against the much older Chilliwack Knights before the event is done.

FAITH.

Have you ever felt a little guilty for lacking faith? A call to believe is something Jesus asks of us over and over during his life. When he went to heal a young boy, he asked the father first to believe to which the father responded, “I believe; help my unbelief!”

It sound like a contradiction, right? But maybe he just felt the tension of having faith in Christ.

The man was standing in front of Jesus and still needed God to do a work in his heart. So he ASKED for help with his unbelief. The presence of God, a willingness to ask, and the openness of our hands to receive can be powerful things.

And when we come to Christmas, we get to remember again the most incredible leap of faith in history: Mary. Her yes wasn't an easy yes. She probably still felt fear and hesitation but she leaned into it knowing it would come with a deep joy, purpose, and fulfillment.

Like so many things, there are often seasons for our relationship with God. And wherever your heart is at in this season, let us look to Mary and those before us who have brought their whole heart to God, asking for faith where it's needed, and still saying yes.
