The holiday season is just around the corner, and we’re excited to bring back our 24 Days of Christmas Shop Local Program, running November 23 to December 16!

This is a great opportunity to showcase your business, encourage residents to shop locally, and remind everyone why supporting Chetwynd businesses matters.

Want to participate as a business? It’s easy!

All you need to do is:
• Donate a prize to our Christmas prize package.
• Set up an entry box or bag at your store (provided) so customers can enter their receipts into the draw.

That’s it! I’ll arrange to pick up your donated prize, and your business logo will be featured throughout ALL of our advertising, giving your business added exposure during the busy Christmas shopping season.

How customers can enter:
Customers can write their name and phone number on their receipts and drop them into the participating business’s draw box. They can also bring their entries to the Chetwynd Chamber of Commerce Monday to Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and drop them into the draw box in our office or at Peace FM right next door.

The draw will take place on December 16 at noon at the Chetwynd Chamber of Commerce office and one winner (or maybe two) will walk away with all the goodies!

This is a simple way to get your business involved, reward local shoppers, and help keep Christmas spending right here in Chetwynd!

Ready to join in? Email us at [email protected] or call/text 250-788-3345 to arrange pickup of your prize donation.

Not a Chamber member yet? You’re welcome to participate too! Non-member businesses can join in for a $40 participation fee, (or just purchase a membership and get so much more!) giving you an opportunity to promote your business and be part of this community-wide Shop Local initiative.

Let’s make this Christmas season a great one for our local businesses!

Thank you for being part of our Chamber community and helping us keep Chetwynd Thinking. Shopping. Buying local!

📢 Built in B.C. Bound for the world.

It’s the final day of the BC Chamber of Commerce’s 2026 Small Business Week Summit, and we’re closing with a look at how B.C. businesses can reach customers overseas.

From B.C. to the World: Reaching Overseas Customers Through Port of Vancouver
Presented by Vancouver Fraser Port Authority
TODAY, Friday, October 23 | 12–1 p.m. PT
Online • Complimentary for Chetwynd Chamber members

With uncertainty in the U.S. market, exploring new customers and destinations is an important conversation for Canadian businesses. This session will explore how the Port of Vancouver connects businesses to markets across Asia and beyond, and how investments in terminals, rail and shipping capacity can support the movement of Canadian goods overseas.

For Bulkley Valley producers and businesses considering their next stage of growth, it’s an opportunity to understand how local products connect to global markets.

Haven’t joined a session yet? There’s still time. Bring your lunch and finish Small Business Week with fresh ideas for what comes next.

Register now and join us at noon!

Our local businesses create jobs, support families, sponsor community events and help make our town what it is today. They deserve to be celebrated!
