Community Wheels, Chester, Nova Scotia “Community Wheels” is an inclusive community-based transportation service serving the Municipality he Community Wheels service was launched in 2007.

One of the unique features of our regular service is that we do not charge fares but rather it is operated on a “free will offering” basis with donations accepted from riders. Community Wheels is also licensed to provide charter service at set fees. All revenue earned by charters is used to support the “by donation” service.

Where is Community Wheels Service Area?

Community Wheels proudly provides transportation throughout the Municipality of the District of Chester — helping keep our communities connected, from coast to countryside!

All rides must originate within the MODC communities including:
🏘️ Chester, Chester Basin, New Ross, Western Shore, Hubbards, Blandford…and many more!

🌍 Need to travel outside the Municipality?
No problem! We can provide transportation to destinations outside municipal boundaries (such as Bridgewater, Halifax, or the Valley), as long as your trip originates within the Municipality of the District of Chester.

3️⃣ Confirm your booking
Our dispatcher will review availability and confirm your ride details with you.

Rides must be booked a minimum of 24 hours in advance. We strongly recommend booking as early as possible, especially during busy periods, as availability can fill quickly.
