Cadets is about more than shinning shoes and marching! We also teach valuable life skills like cooking! Last week LLEWELLYN Sea Cadets took part in a cooking class where they learned the basics of safe food handling and kitchen safety. Under the supervision of staff, cadets made pancakes for supper! If you want to learn life skills, make friends, and have adventures, check us out at the Chester legion on Thursdays between 6:30 and 9:00pm!

Have you ever wanted to go to sea in a tall ship? on September 24th LLEWELYN cadets alongside cadets from RCSCC's Niobe and Neptune had the opportunity to sail in Nova Scotia's tall ship, the schooner Bluenose II! Cadets participated in line handling exercises to work the sails to help the ship transit Lunenburg Harbour and out into the open ocean. LLEWELLYN also had the opportunity to take an impromptu tour of Canada's and the Royal Canadian Navy's tall ship, HMCS HMCS Oriole, currently celebrating 104 years afloat! Cadets toured the upper decks and learned about how the RCN married the most modern navigation technology with classical sailing.

If you want the opportunity to make friends, challenge yourself, and learn about exciting activities like sailing, marksmanship, leadership and management, with opportunities to travel across the country, check out RCSCC LLEWELLYN on Thursday nights between 6:30 and 9:30pm at the Branch 44 Royal Canadian Legion in Chester, NS to learn more!
