FAMILY FUN DAY: SAVE THE DATE!

Saturday August the 8th is the day.

Thetis Island Community Fund is busy planning this year’s Family Fun Day, and you won't want to miss it!

Volunteer-call-out will be coming, as we typically need 40+ fabulous islanders to make the day happen!

Even if you don't have kids or grandkids to bring to the event
mark your calendar for volunteering!

Cake cutting will be at 3pm with an open mic to follow.
There will be afternoon tea treats and beverages.

FORBES HALL SPRING CLEAN-UP – THANK YOU

Thank you to everyone who came to the Spring Clean Up Saturday at Forbes Hall.

Twenty-five enthusiastic volunteers washed windows, picnic tables, w**ded, trimmed, watered, swept, spread mulch, met new people and enjoyed lunch together

The windows, grounds, gardens and sports court look fantastic.

SATURDAY: FORBES HALL SPRING CLEAN UP DAY: MAY 23, 9:30 AM

Join us this Saturday to get the Hall and grounds ready for Summer!

• Work starts at 9:30, it’s okay if you come a bit later.
• A light lunch has been planned to thank the wonderful volunteers.
• Saturday’s Job List:
Weeding and Trimming: lots of small areas to be worked on.
Spreading new mulch on the garden beds

Other jobs both inside and outside, there is something for everyone!

Here’s an equipment list that may be helpful:
gloves, secateurs, shovels, trowels,
wheelbarrows (we have 1, and will need more for the bark mulch),
rakes, an extra w**d eater and
appropriate safety gear including sun hats and sunscreen.

FORBES HALL – PLEASE REMEMBER TO CLOSE DOORS!

Over the past week we’ve had a few incidents of doors being left open, not just unlocked but wide open!

Beautiful weather has us enjoying doors and windows open, but when leaving the hall please make sure it is secure.

If you or someone in your activity opens a door for access or fresh air, check all are closed before leaving. You can even do a quick door tour when you’re the last person leaving the hall, just to check.

Thanks for keeping the hall busy and alive with activities and all the other things that happen there!
