If you are planning your fall minis or family photos at one of our conservation areas, a Photography Permit is required.

A Photography Permit is $150.00 and it guarantees no other event is taking place on the day of your photo shoot and includes parking passes for clients.

A photography permit is included in our wedding packages!

The Chatham Camera Club recently enjoyed an unforgettable walkabout at TJ Stables in Chatham, ON. Members had the incredible opportunity to photograph the rare and majestic Ojibwe Spirit Horses up close, capturing stunning portraits amidst the beautiful 50-acre farm and historic tipi encampment.

11:30 am Military Surgeon
12:30 pm War Council
1:15 pm Camp Tour
2:00 pm Battle Demonstration
3:00 pm Mini Militia

Ska-Nah-Doht Museum will be open during the event.

The Upper Thames Military Reenactment Society and the Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority present the Battle of Longwoods on May 2nd and 3rd, 2026. Re-enactors from across North America come together to recreate military and camp life in Southwestern Ontario during the War of 1812. Enjoy tours, demonstrations, and a daily battle.

The gates will open May 2 and 3 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. A variety of activities are available each day. There will be period merchants, and visitors can also take a self-guided tour of the Ska-Nah-Doht Village. Children’s games and rope making near the cabins will be available all day. In addition to the battle each afternoon, we will have demonstrations from the surgeon, a performance by the Crown Forces Drums, Artillery presentations, camp tours, and more!

Entrance per person is $10 for 13 years+, 12 years and under as well as military in uniform are free.
