Congratulations Morley and Judy!
Last night members of our Board were pleased to formally present this year's Agricultural Services Award to two very special, and well deserving individuals. While it was formally announced at the Highgate Fair, the official presentation took place last evening (our recipients have a very busy schedule - no surprise - and had a family commitment the day of the Fair).
Our President, Jeff Mardling, had the pleasure of presenting this year's award to Morley & Judy Clark. Here's a little backgrounder on our award winners:
"Morley and Judy Clark moved to the Clark homestead in 1974 along with their two boys. They have farmed various crops over the years, raised livestock, and Morley enjoys tapping his sugar bush and the art and science of producing maple syrup. They were both involved with many 4H clubs over the years, imparting their knowledge and enthusiasm on to the next generation. Both Morley and Judy have held many titles and positions within the Ontario Plowman’s association and are still very active with the organization today. Judy has been a judge at the Highgate Fair over the years, and they enjoy their volunteer activities with the Fair. Morley especially enjoys entering the odd antique tractor in the parade, as well as enjoying his fill from the many baked goods from the Fair."
We couldn't think of a more deserving couple for this year's Award. Congratulations, Morley & Judy.
