HONOURING A LEGACY: COACH TIM NORTH 💛💙
This evening, the Chatham Girls Minor Softball Association had the incredible privilege of honouring a man who has given so much of himself to the game we all love.
Coach Tim North has been more than a coach. He has been a mentor, a teacher, a role model, a teammate, a friend — and a constant presence in the softball community.
Tonight, generations of players, fellow coaches, friends and family gathered together to celebrate Tim and the lasting impact he has made on countless young athletes and on our association as a whole.
As a lasting tribute to his incredible commitment, dedication and love for the game, the association proudly unveiled a bench in Coach Tim’s honour. A place where future generations can sit, watch, cheer, reflect — and perhaps even be inspired by the legacy of someone who has spent a lifetime giving back to the game.
The Chatham Girls Minor Softball Association is also incredibly proud to announce that our annual scholarship bursary has officially been renamed the:

A fitting tribute to a coach whose impact has always been about so much more than wins and losses. It’s about the love of the game, the friendships it creates, the lessons it teaches and the lives it touches along the way.
Tim, thank you.
Thank you for the countless hours, the practices, the games, the lessons, the encouragement, the laughs and, most importantly, for believing in generations of girls who stepped onto the diamond.
Your legacy is woven into the fabric of our association — and it will continue for generations to come.
