“Would anyone be willing to bring her a meal?”, she asked on our local woman’s Bible study page. Her village responded with generosity, as expected. Her village, extended to someone who once didn’t have one. That’s the really beautiful thing about Safe Families and the way it connects the church with those in our community.

This sweet mom who once reached out for support in a crisis years ago, was connected with one of our host families. That host family cared for her children and poured into mom and now long after the crisis is resolved and we’ve stepped out of the picture, the relationship remains. And it’s a beautiful one. Mom is now connected with and faithful to a local church, providing her with a village eager to step in with meals + encouragement while she recovers from surgery. Something she once could only dream of, now a reality because of believers willing to say yes to opening their hearts, hands, and homes.
