🚨Attention🚨
If you would like to support the work that Safe Families is doing in our community here is a fun way to do it!

We want you, your family, your small group, church group or staff team to consider entering a team in our citywide scavenger hunt “ Search the City 6” on September 12th.

Please consider getting a group together to take part in this fun event. If you cannot participate in the event, please consider donating towards the event.

If you would like to enter a team please comment below and we will get you registered.
This is a family friendly event with amazing prizes and a free BBQ.

In Canada today, over 300,000 children live in vulnerable home situations and are at risk for abuse and neglect. Many of their parents are facing overwhelming crises like illness, sudden job loss, abuse, or housing instability and they are facing them completely alone, without the safety net of nearby extended family or neighbours.

No one was meant to parent in isolation. We are looking for regular, everyday people to become the “village” for these families in need. Through our Circle of Support, you don’t need to be a superhuman—you just need a heart willing to show radical hospitality.

There is a place for everyone in the village: Host Families: Open their hearts and homes to temporarily care for children while parents get back on their feet. Family Friends: Walk alongside parents to encourage them, grab a coffee, or help navigate a crisis. Family Coaches: Provide guidance and help parents set and achieve goals. Resource Friends: Supply practical needs like meals, diapers, lawn care, or professional skills.

You can be the bridge that keeps a family intact and keeps children safe. Will you step into the gap with us? 🤍

We need some help! One of the mom’s we are working with is in need of some help removing the dead grass in her front yard so she can start over with some fresh grass seed. This would be the perfect opportunity for some young people or gardeners/landscapers to come together and give a hand to help get this outdoor space ready for summer.
