The Adams River Salmon Society

The Adams River Salmon Society Mission: To promote the conservation of wild salmon and the cultural resources of Tsútswecw Provincial Park through education and interpretation.

Please note our Interpretive Cabin opens on June 6 and will be open Wednesday - Sunday until September 20th. The Adams River Salmon Society is a not-for-profit society run by a volunteer board of directors. Every four years the primary focus of the Society is to help organize and run the Salute to the Sockeye held during the dominant run every four years. In addition, the Society helps to fulfill

its mandate to encourage and facilitate the education and conservation of the natural and cultural resources of Tsutswecw Provincial Park. We run education programs throughout the spring, summer and fall and host visitors from across the globe 12 months of the year to the beautiful Tsútswecw Provincial Park.

Today, communities across British Columbia are celebrating the trails, waterways, and outdoor places that are part of everyday life in BC.

There are nearly 70 events happening in more than 50 communities today - anything from trail maintenance days and guided hikes to paddling events, mountain bike festivals, stewardship activities, educational walks, scavenger hunts, and community celebrations.

It is a good day to get outside.

Join a local event. Try a new trail. Bring a small bag and pick up litter along the way. Thank a volunteer if you see one. Or just take a moment to appreciate your favourite outdoor places.

It is also a good day to support the work that makes outdoor recreation possible.
