Just a quick reminder that our AGM is set for this Thursday at the BIS with lots of pizza and refreshments for everyone beginning at 630 pm with the meeting to follow about 7.

We’re back at the BIS for another practice on April 9.

I think we can finally expect that weather will have no impact on getting together. Sunny and a high of 9 C on Thursday. Bring on spring!

Our AGM is set for April 16. If you have items you would like to see on the agenda, please let Carolyn or Marie know. The deadline to do so is April 10. The reason for the deadline is that Marie can get the Agenda out to ALL our members for their perusal before the meeting. It would be great to see as many people as possible at the meeting as it’s a good chance to review the past year, look ahead to the coming year and make some decisions as a group. That said, for those who can’t make it, don’t worry as the minutes will be circulated post meeting, so you’ll still be updated. This is YOUR group and your input is essential !!!!

There will be pizza and refreshment beginning at 6:30, and we’ll try to get the meeting underway before 7. Please let Marie know if you are planning to attend so we’ll know how much food to order.

Finally, we have a play-out date April 23 at Parkdale school ... they would like us to start at 5:30 and to play for 25 minutes. We really need to know how many people will be joining us as they need numbers for chairs. This is a paid event for us and great exposure PLUS the food is DELICIOUS !! There will be an update on this regarding Sets of tunes we plan on playing.

I’m pretty happy to see the end of March, even if it went out like a rather cranky lion!
The weather forced us to cancel our playout in Hunter River on Tuesday evening - for the second time in a row.
The forecast looks relatively good for a workshop session this Thursday. As always, if weather throws a wrench our way, we’ll let everyone know on the group’s page by 5 pm. If there’s no message, the workshop is good to go.
And anyone who isn’t comfortable on the roads, be sure to stay safe at home.

Keep on practising. It’s great to hear the improvement!
