PEI Wildlife Conservation Fund The Wildlife Conservation Fund provides funding for the protection and enhancement of wildlife and wildlife habitats on PEI.

Money for the Fund comes from a contribution made once per year by each provincially licensed angler, hunter and trapper, and from the sale of conservation licence plates.

Do you have a project that helps protect, restore, research, or educate about wildlife and wildlife habitat on Prince Edward Island?

The PEI Wildlife Conservation Fund is now accepting applications for its Fall 2026 funding intake with the deadline for submissions of September 25, 2026 (5:00 PM).

Funding is available for projects focused on:
✅ Habitat Restoration & Enhancement
✅ Natural Areas Protection
✅ Education Initiatives
✅ Research & Monitoring
✅ Other Conservation Projects

The PEI Wildlife Conservation Fund is encouraging organizations, community groups, educational institutions, municipalities, and others to start preparing your funding applications for the upcoming Fall 2026 intake.

Applications will open on August 3, 2026, and will be accepted until August 23, 2026.

Island residents are invited to take part in the next phase of public engagement on the future of land use in Prince Edward Island.

Engagement will run from February 17 to March 20, 2026, and will help the province understand Islanders’ priorities as PEI grows and changes.

Islanders can participate in several ways:

🦆 Recently, members of the PEI Wildlife Conservation Fund (PEIWCF) team joined one of our grant recipients; Ducks Unlimited, at their Hunting Workshop. When we visited, we saw more than just skills being taught, we saw a community coming together to protect PEI.

This project isn't just about hunting; it's about responsibility, respect, and conservation. 💚
