🎉 What a way to wrap up Chase the Ace! 🂡

Tonight, we had the pleasure of joining Lucas and his family to officially celebrate his incredible Chase the Ace win and present him with his cheque! 💰🎉

This win was an extra-special one for the Winsloe Lions Club, as the winning ticket was sold by one of our own Lions! After many weeks of ticket sales, it was pretty exciting to see the lucky ticket come from Winsloe.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported Chase the Ace through the Winsloe Lions Club throughout this round. Whether you purchased tickets from us week after week, stopped by one of our sales locations, shared our posts, or helped spread the word, we are incredibly grateful for your support. Every ticket purchased helps organizations like ours continue giving back to the communities we serve.

And, of course, a very special thank you to our amazing Winsloe Lions Club volunteers. ❤️ From selling tickets throughout the week to giving up countless Saturdays this summer, there are so many hours of work that go on behind the scenes. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who showed up week after week and helped make our part of Chase the Ace such a success.

North Shore Chase the Ace is a collaborative effort between six participating community organizations, and we're proud to be part of a fundraiser that provides such incredible support to our communities.

Most importantly, congratulations to Lucas! 🥳 It was wonderful getting to meet your family and celebrate with you tonight. We couldn't be happier for you, and we're especially happy that your lucky ticket just happened to come from Winsloe! 😉

With another Chase the Ace officially in the books, our volunteers are looking forward to a well-earned break and enjoying the rest of the summer. ☀️

From all of us at the Winsloe Lions Club, thank you for supporting us as we continue to support our community. 🦁❤️

✨ A Look Back at Our Annual Charter Night! ✨

A few weeks ago, our members gathered to celebrate another incredible year of service at our annual Charter Night. It's one of our favourite evenings of the year—a chance to reflect on everything we've accomplished together, recognize the dedication of our members, and celebrate the impact we've had in our community.

Over the past year, our club has proudly supported our community through donations, fundraisers, community meals, local events, and countless volunteer hours. Looking back at all we've achieved together is a wonderful reminder of what can happen when people come together with a shared commitment to serve.

We were also honoured to welcome representatives from MADD Kings & Queens PEI, who shared an informative presentation and demonstration about impaired driving and the importance of making safe choices. Following their presentation, our club was proud to present a donation in support of the important work they do.

Throughout the evening, we recognized several members with Attendance Awards and celebrated this year's Lion of the Year. Congratulations to all of our award recipients, and thank you to every member whose time, dedication, and compassion help make the Winsloe Lions Club such a positive force in our community.

A small personal note from the person behind this page: I was incredibly honoured to receive this year's Lion of the Year award. It feels a little strange writing that myself, but I wanted to sincerely thank my fellow Lions for the recognition. Volunteering alongside this amazing group of people has been one of the most rewarding experiences, and I'm grateful to be a small part of everything we accomplish together.

We're excited to share a few photos from the evening and look forward to another year of friendship, fellowship, and service. Thank you to everyone who helps make our club—and our community—so special. 🦁💙💛

🦞 Another successful Seniors Lobster Dinner! 🦞

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of serving over 230 lobster cold plates to seniors in our community. It's one of our favourite events each year and a wonderful opportunity to connect with so many familiar faces over a delicious meal.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our incredible volunteers who helped prepare, package, and deliver meals. Events like this simply wouldn't be possible without your time and dedication.

If you're a senior in our community and aren't currently on our Seniors Dinner list, we'd love to hear from you! Send us a message, and we'll make sure you're added so you don't miss out on future meals.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's dinner another great success. We look forward to seeing you again at the next one! 🦁❤️

🤍

Islanders may see an increased number of emergency vehicles on the roads today.

Fire and police services will be es**rting our fallen paramedics home starting this afternoon. RCMP will also provide es**rt to the fallen patient.

The procession is for designated vehicles only, to ensure safety of all involved. As a sign a respect, we encourage drivers to pull over, stop and let the procession pass.

We offer our deepest condolences. We continue to keep everyone affected by this tragedy in our thoughts.
