PEI Friendly Visitor Program The Mission of the PEI Friendly Visitor Program is to provide friendship and companionship to Island seniors who may be at risk of becoming socially isolated.

This program is administered by the PEI Senior Citizens' Federation.

PEI residents aged 55 and older are invited to attend a series of free workshops to learn about financial programs, benefits, and services that can help make everyday life a little bit easier.

These workshops will cover Old Age Security, the Canadian Dental Care Plan, and the Seniors Independence Initiative.

Workshop schedule:

➡️Friday, October 9, 2026, from 10 am - 3 pm in St. Peter’s Bay (St. Peter’s Circle Club, 1917 Cardigan Road).
➡️Friday, October 30, 2026, from 10 am - 3 pm in Summerside (St. Eleanors Lions Club, 121 East Drive).
➡️Monday, November 9, 2026, from 10 am - 3 pm in O’Leary (O’Leary Community Complex, 18 Community Street).
➡️Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 10 am - 3 pm in Charlottetown (Hillsborough Community Centre, 199 Patterson Drive).

Are you a retired or senior man aged 50+ looking to stay active and give back locally?
The PEI Friendly Visitor Program is presently seeking male volunteers in the Summerside and Charlottetown areas to connect with local senior men who would benefit from a weekly chat or game of cards.

It only takes an hour a week to make a meaningful difference and build a great friendship.
