Swim PEI is thrilled to congratulate Veronica MacLellan on achieving Senior National Team Card Status in Sport Canada's Athlete Assistance Program(AAP).

Veronica is the FIRST Island para swimmer to ever achieve this incredible milestone! 👏

🏊‍♂️ **PEI Para Swimmers Making Waves!** 🌊

This past September, PEI para swimmers Moni Zlatev, Veronica MacLellan, and Greg Morrison, along with Coach Edie Rogers, attended the Swim New Brunswick Para Swim Camp!

It was a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, connect with fellow para swimmers and coaches, build friendships, and have fun!

👏 A special shoutout to Greg, a former competitive swimmer who began giving back to the sport last year by helping Coach Edie coach the next generation of para swimmers!

💙 A huge thank you to Swim New Brunswick for the invitation and for helping our Atlantic Canadian para swimming community grow stronger!

Swim PEI is thrilled to announce this season’s 12 & Under Skills Clinics! We are so excited for the young swimmers who have been selected to participate in these fun and focused training opportunities throughout the season!

Our Skills Clinics will take place alongside five Festival Meets, giving swimmers the opportunity to fine-tune their technique, build confidence, and put their skills into action during the meet!

How Are Swimmers Selected?
Each camp is limited to 24 swimmers. Each club selects its participants based on attendance and skill level. These clinics are designed for swimmers who already have the fundamentals and are ready to refine their skills, strengthen their technique, and take their swimming to the next level!

Best of all, selection resets after each clinic, giving different swimmers opportunities to participate throughout the season!

Invitations & Registration
Invitations have been sent to selected swimmers through a Google Form by their club's coach. Please complete the form by October 21st to confirm participation and provide the required information.

We started last fall with 53 swimmers and opened this season with over 100, and it’s been amazing to see the pool full of red T-shirts. Our first home meet of the season, the Spooky Spud, is coming up on Saturday, October 24 at Credit Union Place. This one is for our competitive SDSC swimmers.

A huge congratulations to Erik Thompson, of the Charlottetown Bluephins Aquatic Club, who has been selected to receive Development Card status through Sport Canada’s Athlete Assistance Program (AAP)! 🇨🇦

Erik becomes the first PEI swimmer ever to receive this status — an incredible milestone for both Erik and our Island swimming community!

We at Swim PEI couldn’t be more excited to see where Erik goes from here and what this achievement could mean for the future of competitive swimming on PEI.
