In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Fair Isle Ford Lincoln and D. Alex Macdonald Ford are donating $100 from every new and pre-owned vehicle sold throughout the month of October. Funds raised will support breast health care on Prince Edward Island.

We are so grateful for their support each year! 🧡

💗 This October, we’re proud to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

For every vehicle sold at Fair Isle Ford Lincoln throughout October, we’ll donate $100 to support breast cancer treatment, split equally between Prince County Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Every vehicle sold helps us give back to the hospitals that support Island communities. 💕

Sharing a little update on our neighbours on the QEH Campus!

The Mental Health & Addictions Capital Redevelopment Project is currently underway, with the Mental Health and Addictions Acute Care Facility and Life Skills Centre, Wellness and Transition Centre, and other key components taking shape.

This World Mental Health Day, we're encouraged to see the progress on these new spaces. As these facilities come online, they will complement the care provided at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, strengthening the continuum of care available to Islanders and creating new opportunities for collaboration between acute care, mental health, and addictions services.

🍁 The QEH Foundation office will be closed on Monday, October 12 for Thanksgiving. We wish everyone a joyful holiday weekend! 🍁

As we head into Thanksgiving weekend, we are taking a moment to reflect on all the ways this community has made a difference for patients and families across the Island. We are truly so grateful for our caring donors and our dedicated healthcare teams here at the QEH who help keep excellent care close to home.

Pictured: Little Everett received life-saving emergency and follow-up care at the QEH NICU after being diagnosed with Neonatal Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy, a type of brain injury caused by a lack of oxygen to the brain before or shortly after birth. The QEH Foundation is thrilled to welcome Colin McQuillan to its Board of Directors.

Colin McQuillan, P.Eng., FEC, is an owner and Project Engineer with FitzGerald and Snow (2010) Ltd. in Charlottetown, where he works on construction and development projects across Prince Edward Island. He is a Past President of Engineers PEI and has served the engineering profession through several volunteer roles. Outside of work, Colin enjoys coaching youth hockey and baseball and spending time with his wife and two children.

Colin has experienced care at QEH firsthand, from minor procedures to major orthopedic surgery and a week-long hospital stay following a motor vehicle accident. These experiences gave him a strong appreciation for the skill and compassion of QEH’s healthcare teams and the importance of having excellent care available close to home. He is honoured to join the Board and looks forward to helping support the QEH Foundation.

Saturday: 1 PM–5 PM
Sunday: 1 PM–4 PM
