Funding for youth-led community projects
Wanted to pass along an opportunity that could be a great fit for halls looking to get more young people and families involved.
Race to an Inclusive Canada gives BIPOC youth ages 15–29 up to $2,800 to create, promote, and run a community project or event focused on diversity and inclusion. Youth can apply solo or as a group.
A hall could partner with a young person to organize things like:
Art, craft, or cultural workshops
A youth music or talent night
Family activity days
Cooking or baking workshops
Game nights
Cultural celebration or newcomer events
Sports or recreation activities
It's a nice way to give a young person the chance to lead something meaningful, while helping halls connect with newer, younger faces in the community.
Applications are open until the funding runs out or March 2027, whichever comes first, so it's worth applying sooner rather than later.
