It is with great sadness that we share the passing of one of our life members and a leader in our industry.

Charles Franklyn MacIntyre

Frank was a successful business owner for 50 years in 2026 of MacIntyre Sheet Metal 2004 Limited operating under Entire Mechanical.

Frank served on the Construction Association of PEI’s Board of Directors, committees and played a hugh role in our industry here in PEI and served on many platforms from the Canadian Construction Association, Apprenticeship PEI and many other groups, boards and committees.

Our condolences go out to Franks wife Mary, his daughter Erin (Shane) and their extended families

As Mental Illness Awareness Week wraps up, we’re taking a moment to recognize the importance of supporting the people behind the projects, plans, tools, and hard hats.

The construction industry is built on teamwork, and looking out for one another is part of that. On the jobsite, in the office, and beyond.

A stronger industry starts with taking care of the people who make it possible. 🏗️💚

Yesterday, Amanda and Ayana spent the day at Three Oaks Senior High School with students in the Career Explorations and Opportunities classes! 🏗️

We had the opportunity to share what the Construction Association of PEI does, introduce students to the many career paths available in the construction industry, and talk about the opportunities that exist right here on PEI.

And of course, we couldn’t just talk about construction... we gave students the chance to experience it! 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

Through virtual reality, students got to step into different trades and get a hands-on look at what a career in construction could look like.

A big thank you to Three Oaks Senior High School and the Career Explorations and Opportunities classes for having us!
