❤️ Hockey PEI joins the hockey community across Prince Edward Island and beyond in mourning the passing of Forbes Kennedy — a true hockey legend and icon.

Born in Charlottetown, Forbes proudly represented PEI throughout an incredible hockey career that included over 600 NHL games. More importantly, he was a proud Islander whose passion, toughness, and dedication to the game inspired generations of players and fans.

His impact on hockey in Prince Edward Island will never be forgotten.

We extend our sincere condolences to the Kennedy family, friends, former teammates, and all who knew and admired Forbie.

Rest in peace, Forbes Kennedy. Your legacy will live on in the game you loved. 🏒
