This Palestinian Prisoner Day, we stand with prisoners and against the Israeli "Palestinian Prisoner Ex*****on Law". This new law, passed on March 30th 2026, legalizes death by hanging. A barbaric escalation of genocide that applies only to Palestinians and in a state with a 99% conviction rate. Over 10,000 Palestinians, including 350 children, are held in Israeli torture camps under systematic starvation, abuse, and torture.

Friday, April 17, 2026
4:30pm - 6:00pm
University Ave, Sidewalk in front of Brown's Court (Across from UPEI)

Bring friends, signs, and your voice! Together, we'll demonstrate, raise awareness, and demand the liberation for all prisoners and the end of the Palestinian Prisoner Ex*****on Law. May every prisoner be free and may the Zionist regime crumble.

On March 10th MPs will vote on the No More Loopholes Act. If they vote yes, it would END the shipment of weapons and parts to the US that end up being used on Palestinians. Please, call your MPs this week -- call early, call often! Tell them to do the right thing and vote yes to END CANADA'S MILITARY COMPLICITY in genocide:

As the catastrophe wrought by Israel’s continued assault on Gaza grows, we’re calling on the Canadian government to immediately suspend all trade in arms and military technology with Israel.

Here is a chance to speak to local politicians at every level. Come out and call for support for Palestine.

A crucial vote on the No More Loopholes Act is right around the corner.

It's time to push MPs to pick a side: Will they continue to funnel unrestricted and unregulated arms to Trump’s illegal wars, ICE’s campaign of terror, and Israel’s ongoing genocide? Or will they listen to the Canadian public and ensure that Canadian military exports are aligned with international law?

Email your MP and key ministers and demand they vote yes on the No More Loopholes Bill and cut off the flow of weapons to Israel.

Help us make sure every MP’s inbox is flooded with calls to take real action to sanction Israel with a full and immediate arms embargo and adopt Bill C-233 to close the loopholes in Canada’s arms exports. (Heard back from your MP? Click to tell us how your MP plans to vote and to read more about Bill C-233, the No More Loopholes Act.)

On Saturday, the Palestinian flag rose in front of Charlottetown City Hall — not because the City chose to stand with and recognize Palestine, but because the people did.

The City rejected our request to raise the flag for the UN’s International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, stating the day isn’t federally recognized.

Are we surprised? No.

Is it acceptable? Absolutely not.

By denying this simple act of recognition, City leadership has shown a lack of moral courage — and an inconsistent application of its own flag-raising policy.

Charlottetown has clear precedents for raising national flags in solidarity with oppressed communities on days not designated by the federal government.

In the last three years alone, the Ukrainian flag was raised seven times on non-federally recognized days.

Meanwhile, cities across the country — Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, and now Fredericton — have all raised the Palestinian flag. They chose visibility for Palestine.

So we asked again:

Will Charlottetown raise the flag in recognition the State of Palestine or, would they like others did, on Palestine Independence Day?

The City has the authority. The policy allows it.

Their refusal, after every excuse has fallen apart, leaves us with one painful truth:

This is anti-Palestinian racism.

Let The City and the Mayor know where you stand. While Council did not make this decision,
have been included in our most recent correspondence.

We sent a final request to The City and are waiting to hear back.

We will not forget the excuses, inconsistencies or the moral failure two years into a live-streamed genocide.

And we will continue to stand as a community — loudly, visibly, unapologetically — with the people of Palestine.

Thank you to everyone in the community for all for the meaningful actions you take in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
