PEI WRITING AWARDS SURVEY

As one part of ongoing consultation with PEI's diverse writing communities in support of a revitalized awards program for Island writers, the PEI Writers Guild has launched an online survey to gather feedback.

This short survey is open to Island writers and creatives at all levels of experience. Even if you’ve never participated in a PEIWG event or submitted to the Island Literary Awards, these are your awards and we want to hear from you!

The survey will help shape the future direction of the awards program and celebration and will be open until June 15. Complete the survey located on the www.peiwritersguild.com home page!

PEI WRITING AWARDS COMMUNITY CONVERSATION

June 13, 1-4 PM
Rotary Auditorium, Charlottetown Learning Library Centre

Island writing legends and talented emerging writers will discuss the history and legacy of the Island Literary Awards and reflect on the current needs of a new and diverse generation of Island writers. Share your thoughts and voice as findings from the PEIWG writing awards community survey and engagement process will be presented and next steps in a revitalized awards program for Island writers will be discussed. This free all-ages event is designed for all writers, creatives, community members, supporters, and anyone curious about writing on PEI.

Speakers include Richard Lemm, Jane Ledwell, Laurie Brinklow, Jo Godden and more.

The fate of Battle Tales Eleven is now up to our amazing Guest Judge (and 2025 BT Champion) Jennifer Platts-Fanning. This year we received 28 incredibly unique submissions and we couldn't be happier with such a result. To see so many writers throw caution to the wind and create stories out of nothing based solely on a few prompts is the type of creativity that pushes our community forward.
