Go!PEI A community-based healthy living initiative connecting Islanders with no-to-low cost physical activity opportunities! go!PEI - good for us all!

All programs are delivered with the support of our dedicated community partners. go!PEI is a community-based healthy living initiative managed by Recreation PEI. We have partnered up with the cities of Charlottetown and Summerside, the towns of Cornwall and Stratford, and the three regional sports & recreation councils (Western, Central and Eastern) to connect Islanders of all ages to physical activity opportunities that are no-to-low costs. We are encouraging Islanders to get active to the best of their ability on their own or as part of a group through the variety of fun programs our community partners offer. Some past programs include:

* Learn to Run
* Walking Clubs
* Hiking
* and much more! Contact us to connect you to programs that you are interested in! The go!PEI project has been made possible in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Prince Edward Island.

This is great story about our Go! PEI vests travelling the world!!

Hi there -

Just wanted you to know that we proudly wore our go!PEI vests for six days of bicycling the islands of Croatia in the Adriatic Sea on our bike and sail tour. This gave us the opportunity to explain to our compatriots on the bicycle tour, most of whom were Australian or America, where exactly Prince Edward Island was etc. but they still liked to shout out “Go Pee!” Whenever they might pass us - lol. We were cycling on shared roadways and we appreciated having these high visibility vests.

They also made it easier for my husband, and I to spot each other in the crowd of cyclists and tourists… my husband was always chasing ‘that yellow jersey’ 🙂

Cheers

Barbara & Dale Bovaird
