PEI Connectors clients came together in Summerside for an engaging networking session and site visit to Holman’s Ice Cream Parlour, featuring Daniel Meister, owner of Holman’s. 🍨🍦

Daniel shared the story behindone of PEI’s beloved local businesses, offering insights into his entrepreneurial journey, the challenges and successes of building a local brand, and what it takes to grow a business with purpose.

Participants explored how authentic branding, local sourcing, quality, craftsmanship, and community can become powerful foundations for building a successful and lasting business.

Thank you to everyone who joined our Connect To Learn session and on-site visit at Nabuurs Garden Centre, Farm Market & Café 🌱🍓

We are incredibly grateful to Harrison Nicholson and the team at Nabuurs Garden Center & Farm Market for welcoming us and sharing the story behind one of Eastern PEI’s most successful businesses. Participants had the opportunity to tour the garden centre and learn about the growth and evolution of a business that has been serving Islanders for more than 30 years.

The session provided valuable insight into entrepreneurship, agriculture, local food production, and international trade. From their famous strawberries and locally baked goods to their expanding wholesale venture focused on the export of frozen blueberries, attendees gained a deeper understanding of what it takes to grow a business and bring PEI products to markets around the world.

It was wonderful to see participants engaging, networking, and learning through this hands-on experience. Harrison’s knowledge and expertise provided valuable insight into business growth, international sales, and the opportunities and challenges involved in exporting PEI products to global markets.
