Today, we pause to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🌺
💫 On this day, we reflect on the armistice signed on November 11, 1918, ending World War I. Initially called Armistice Day, it later became Remembrance Day, a time to commemorate all service members who have died in the line of duty. The symbol of remembrance—the red poppy—comes from the poem “In Flanders Fields,” written by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae during the war.
🌍 Remembrance Day is observed across the world, with ceremonies, two-minute silences, and poppies worn to honor the fallen.
Let’s never forget their courage and sacrifice.
