Position Available: Employment Support Worker (casual call in)

The Port aux Basques Community Employment Corporation is seeking an Employment Support Worker to assist persons with employment barriers in a variety of employment positions in the Port aux Basques area. This position is casual call in.

Qualifications should include experience in the human service field, especially with employment support would be preferred.

The successful candidate will be required to work various schedules which will include evenings.

Pay rate as per collective agreement

💜 The City of St. John’s will join communities around the world in marking International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) on Wednesday, December 3, recognizing the contributions of people with disabilities and promoting inclusion across our city. Here's how we will be celebrating next week:

🏊 Offering a free therapeutic swim at H.G.R. Mews Community Centre on Dec 3, 2–2:50 p.m.
✨ Lighting City Hall purple for disability inclusion on December 3
đź“ś Proclaiming Dec 3 as International Day of Persons with Disabilities at the December 2 Council Meeting

The City is also pleased to announce that it will offer a new sensory swim for individuals who enjoy and benefit from a quieter, less busy environment. Starting January 11, 2026, the Sensory Swim will take place from 9 to 9:50 a.m. on Sundays at the H.G.R. Mews Community Centre Pool!
