ANNOUNCEMENT: 2026 CONSULAR OUTREACH MISSIONS AND CONSULAR SATURDAYS

The Philippine Embassy in Canada informs the public of the indicative schedule of Consular Outreach Missions and Consular Saturdays in 2026:

February 28: Consular Saturday, Philippine Embassy in Ottawa

March 28-29: Montreal, Quebec

April 25: Consular Saturday, Philippine Embassy in Ottawa

May 30-31: St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador

July 25-26: Fredericton, New Brunswick

August 8-9: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

September 26: Consular Saturday, Philippine Embassy in Ottawa

November 21: Consular Saturday, Philippine Embassy in Ottawa

December 12: Consular Saturday, Philippine Embassy in Ottawa

Please note that the dates for each Outreach Mission and Consular Saturday are tentative and will be confirmed upon the announcement of appointment-booking details nearer to the date.

𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐂𝐚𝐧 would like to wish a very happy birthday to one of the pillars of the Filipino-Canadian Community here in Newfoundland and Labrador, Tita Sophia '𝑆𝑜𝑝ℎ𝑖𝑒' Firme!

Tita Sophie and her late husband, Dr. Ray Firme (the first president of FILAN), moved to NL in 1962. They were known as the King and Queen of the dancefloor. You will often see Tita Sophie at the 5:00 pm Saturday Mass at St. Theresa's Parish.

⚠️Evacuation Notice
An evacuation order is now in effect for the area from 1820 Conception Bay Highway to the western boundary of Conception Bay South. Anyone who has been evacuated, please register at the Conception Bay South Arena.

⚠️Preparedness Advisory
Residents from 1375 Conception Bay Highway to 1820 Conception Bay Highway, including all roads in between, are asked to prepare to evacuate should it become necessary. Residents in the advisory zone are not required to evacuate at this time but should be prepared in case the situation changes.

Additional information will be released as necessary.

This year, NL FILCAN organization would like to do a more meaningful event this Christmas season, and what a better way to do it is to bring simple joy to our dear Seniors thru the warm Christmas songs performed by our NL FILCAN Christmas Chorale.

In a world where it seems material things are a most important we want to create a better tomorrow where one can care so much, where one will not hesitate to take a second look and lend a helping hand, where we can see each other as a friend as a family rather than a stranger.

We would like to say huge Thank You to the retirement homes and long term facilities in the ciity who opened their doors to us, and gave us the opportunity to share nothing but love and happiness.

Thank you to our dedicated NL FILCAN Christmas Chorale and our supporters. Nakaka proud kayo!
I would never forget that Filipina Senior, she was here in NL since 1965. Her last visit to the Philippines was 30+ years ago, seeing that smile on her face, enjoying your performance, it was priceless!

This is just the beginning. .
