The Central Butte and District Health Care Foundation Inc.

The Foundation was formed under the Canada Incorporation and Registered Non-Profit Act. The Board consists of representatives from the surrounding RMs and Villages. Mission statement:

To utilize the funds of the Corporation for the Advancement of Health Care Facilities and Services, including but not limited to Hospitals, Ambulances and Long-Term Care Facilities. The Foundation has raised money t

hrough donations, special events, wills, estates, and gifts in the form of honorariums and memorials. Since 1993, more than $2 Million has been disbursed to support further education for local medical professionals, medical equipment for long term care, medical clinic and laboratory, ambulance purchase, doctors’ residence, automobile for doctor’s use, long term and personal care home expansion, integration and upgrades, handy-bus purchases, and a medical transport van. The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) presents the Foundation with a significant capital asset needs list on an annual basis. The SHA capital requests are for equipment needs for long-term care at Regency Manor as well as the laboratory and medical clinic located in Central Butte. Funding for capital equipment must be donated or raised locally.

The Central Butte and District Health Care Foundation Inc. has made financial commitments for the 2026/27 fiscal year to replace two pieces of laboratory equipment for the lab in Central Butte. The equipment to be purchased includes:
1. Siemens Status and Urinalysis Analyzer: $21,700.00.
2. Centrifuge to replace Stat Spin Express 4: $7,000.00

We are pleased to partner with the Saskatchewan Health Authority in our commitment to support sustainable rural health care in our region.

HUGE NEWS!

The Central Butte and District Health Care Foundation has been working on this for several years now.

The laboratory at the New Horizons Clinic will be open one half day every Friday beginning in November 2025. We are beyond excited and thrilled.

Huge shout out to Minister of Health Jeremy Cockrill, MLA Blaine McLeod and the Central Butte and District Health Foundation Board for their advocacy efforts.

Central Butte and District Health Care Foundation recently donated $5,801 to Iver Main Place to fund fire sprinkler repairs. We are appreciative of Iver Main Place and our seniors.

We rely on local donations to fund our advocacy and health care equipment purchases. Since 1993, the Foundation has donated over $2.2 million dollars, raised locally, to support rural health care.

We are thankful for our generous community.

This week, Saskatchewan Minister of Health Jeremy Cockrill and MLA Blaine McLeod visited Central Butte, touring the New Horizons Health Clinic and Laboratory. Accompanying them were SHA Officials, Central Butte Mayor Grant Berger, and Central Butte and District Health Care Foundation Inc. Board Member Kevin Wilson. The group engaged in discussions about healthcare in the region. Their tour also included visits to the new Fire Hall, the Pantry, and Iver Main Place.

The Central Butte and District Health Care Foundation Inc. is dedicated to supporting sustainable rural healthcare. Our fundraising efforts contribute to capital equipment at Regency Manor, including the New Horizons Health Clinic and laboratory. We also support further education for healthcare workers, Iver Main Place, and medical transportation funding. Our core mission revolves around fundraising, advocacy, and healthcare education support.
