UPDATE - HALKIRK UTILITY UPGRADES PROJECT

The County of Paintearth would like to provide residents with an update on the Halkirk Utility Upgrades project.

After reviewing the construction tender results, Council has decided to postpone the project and re-tender it this fall or early winter.

While the County remains committed to replacing the aging water and sanitary sewer infrastructure, Council believes that re-tendering the project later this year will provide an opportunity to receive more competitive pricing while improving the County's chances of securing additional government grant funding.

By proceeding with a new tender at a later date, the County is working to ensure the project delivers the best possible value for taxpayers while continuing to pursue available funding opportunities.

We understand this project is important to the residents of Halkirk and appreciate your patience as we work toward a more cost-effective solution. Additional updates will be provided as the project progresses.
