🌱 What a wonderful afternoon of connection, inspiration, and growth!

On Sunday, May 31, 22 women from Castlegar and beyond gathered for Trailblazers: Rooted & Rising, an afternoon dedicated to business mentorship, collaboration, and community.

Through inspiring discussions, meaningful networking and our Collaboration Lab activities, participants explored how women can support one another in business and leadership while turning ideas into action. Delicious food, gorgeous flowers and a gourmet tea station transformed the afternoon into a delightful garden tea party experience.

A heartfelt thank you to our panelists Darlene Kalawsky (Kalawsky Chevrolet Buick GMC and Castlegar Communities In Bloom), Carol Hiebert, and Elisha Del Col (Undercover Secrets) for sharing their wisdom and experience.

Peer mentorship, collaboration, and community connection are helping local women entrepreneurs grow 💼✨

The Castlegar & District Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Thewebc, recently celebrated the completion of its inaugural Peer Mentor Program for women entrepreneurs.

Over 8 weeks, seven experienced local business owners came together to share insights, support one another, and explore leadership and business growth through guided mentorship sessions facilitated by Kathryn Sykes, former owner of Tim Hortons Castlegar.

Programs like this help strengthen a vibrant, connected, and supportive local business community. Congratulations to all the participants, and thank you to WeBC for supporting women entrepreneurs in our region! 👏
