Castlegar Sculpturewalk, now in its twelfth successful year, is an exhibit of original outdoor sculptures set against the stunning backdrop of the beautiful West Kootenay region in British Columbia. All sculptures are available for sale or lease, with the City of Castlegar purchasing the People's Choice winner for ongoing display.

Castlegar Art Walk Artist Spotlight: Lisa Huth

Location: Castlegar Station Museum

Medium: Blacksmithing and metal sculpture

Lisa Huth is an artist blacksmith and founder of MetalicArt, specializing in custom artistic metalwork. Originally from the Okanagan, she trained in welding and blacksmithing before establishing her own creative practice.

Now based just outside Castlegar, Lisa draws inspiration from the natural world, creating sculptures that celebrate wildlife, plant life, and the landscapes of the Kootenays.

Working primarily with recycled mild steel and traditional blacksmithing techniques, she transforms industrial materials into expressive, organic forms.

Through her work, Lisa combines craftsmanship, sustainability, and creativity, honouring both the history of blacksmithing and the beauty of the environment that inspires her.
