The Auxiliary Communications Service (ACS) is proud to announce the COMMS Expo & Exercise, a three-day event (January 23 to 25) designed to showcase emergency preparedness and test interoperability across communication systems.
The main event will take place at the Dr. Edgar Leclair Arena in Azilda, Ontario, on January 24, from 10 am to 5 pm, and will feature interactive workshops, hands-on activities, and a large-scale emergency communications exercise called Operation Claybelt Response.
This unique event will bring together emergency responders, Amateur Radio operators, community organizations, and the public to explore the critical role of communications in disaster response.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on workshops, view static displays and experience the family-friendly Touch the Truck event, sponsored by Radio Amateurs of Canada.
Azilda is a community located approximately 15 kilometres northwest of the City of Sudbury’s downtown.
