This past Saturday, we had our Fox Hunt which had us running around Casselman to locate a hidden transmitter while using Radio Direction Finding techniques. Luckily garbage day wasn't near since that would've made it more challenging. We would be having another Fox Hunt next month, details would be available soon.

Thanks to Hunter - VA3HWF and Joel - VA3WBK for the photos.

This coming Saturday, May 16th, will be our next Fox Hunt (ARDF) in Casselman. This activity helps us develop and use our skills in Radio Direction Finding, which can be helpful during emergencies if needed.

Here's the photo of the group from our last Fox Hunt back in March.

Lest we forget.
Today marks Remembrance Day, a day when we honour the courage, service, and sacrifice of all those who have served in the armed forces during times of war, conflict, and peace.

The date, November 11, marks the signing of the armistice that ended World War I at 11 a.m. on the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918.

A two-minute silence, held at 11 am, is a key part of honouring those who died in service.

Beyond remembering fallen soldiers, the day is also an opportunity to reflect on the horrors of war and to commit to working for peace.

Many Amateur Radio Operators are former armed forces members who have dedicated their lives to giving us the peace that we have today.
