We had an assembly where we watched videos from Fred Fox & CBCKids about Terry’s Marathon of Hope and his incredible legacy. Followed by a fun run/walk on our playground with music and signs and great energy.

🇨🇦🏃 He stopped running, but his dream never stopped.

On September 1, 1980, Terry Fox was forced to end his Marathon of Hope outside Thunder Bay, Ontario, after cancer had spread to his lungs.

In just 143 days, Terry had run an incredible 5,373 kilometres across Canada, inspiring millions with his determination to raise money and awareness for cancer research.

His journey may have ended on that road in Northern Ontario, but the legacy he created continues to live across Canada. Decades later, Terry Fox remains a symbol of courage, hope and the belief that one person can make a difference. 🇨🇦❤️

Do you remember when you first learned about Terry Fox?
