What a beautiful afternoon for a carriage ride! 🐴✨
Even though the wind was out in full force today, we didn’t mind one bit — our residents enjoyed the fresh air, waved to all the kids we passed in town, and even spotted some local wildlife along the way. 🌬️🦌👋

Our trip with the Re*****on Carriage Museum was the perfect way to celebrate Seniors Week. The laughter, the stories, and the big smiles made the whole ride unforgettable.

We’re so grateful for moments like these that bring joy, connection, and a little adventure to the people who make Chinook Lodge feel like home. 💛

Seniors Week is here, and we’re celebrating the incredible people who make Chinook Lodge feel like home. 💛

All week long, we’re hosting special activities filled with music, creativity, laughter, and connection — from garden crafts and jazz band performances to carriage rides, youth singers, and our very own Great Chinook Lodge Game Show. Each event is planned with one purpose in mind: to honour the amazing seniors who bring so much joy, wisdom, and warmth to our community.

At Chinook Lodge, we are truly privileged to care for and support the residents who trust us with their home. Their stories, humour, resilience, and kindness inspire us every single day. It’s an honour to walk alongside them, to celebrate them, and to create moments that make life brighter.

✨💄 Glam & Glow at Chinook Lodge! 💄✨

Today our ladies got the full star‑treatment with our Mother’s Day Glam & Glow Photo Shoot — and wow, did they ever shine.

We set up a makeup station, a hair station, and even a costume corner thanks to the wonderful folks at Carriage House Theatre. The room was buzzing with laughter, lipstick, curls, and more smiles than we could count. Our residents absolutely loved seeing each other all dolled up — the compliments were flying and the joy was contagious.

Staff and volunteers jumped in to help bring the magic to life, and we’re so grateful for every single one of you. You truly helped brighten these ladies’ day in the sweetest way.

And in true Chinook Lodge fashion… we even had one of our gents step in as a king for the day. 👑

🌸 Glam & Glow Mother’s Day Portrait Session 🌸

We’re treating our lovely ladies at Chinook Lodge to an afternoon of pampering and portraits this Monday, May 11th at 2 PM.

If you’d like to come help your mom, grandma, or loved one get glammed up, we would love to have you join us. A little extra company makes the day even more special.

🌸 Annual Mother’s Day Tea at Chinook Lodge 🌸

Today we gathered for one of our favourite traditions — our Annual Mother’s Day Tea. The room was filled with laughter, good conversation, delicious treats, and that special kind of warmth that only comes from being together.

Our residents enjoyed visiting, eating, and soaking in the beautiful atmosphere. We made sure each of them felt celebrated, appreciated, and reminded of just how much they mean to our community.

We were also honoured to welcome a special guest, Mayor Paula Miller Brown , who joined us for the festivities and added to the joy of the day.

A heartfelt thank‑you goes out to our amazing volunteers — your helping hands and kind hearts make events like this possible.

💗 Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible women who shape our lives with love, strength, and grace.
