Casual Housekeeper Needed – Chinook Lodge- Cardston Alberta
We’re looking for a focused, energetic, and dependable individual to join our team in a casual housekeeping role. Our lodge is home to wonderful seniors who deserve a clean, safe, and welcoming environment—and we’re seeking someone who takes pride in creating that for them.
What we’re looking for:
• A motivated self‑starter who can stay on task without constant supervision.
• Someone who is reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards.
• A positive, energetic presence who can interact respectfully with residents while staying focused on assigned tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to follow established cleaning routines.
• A team player who communicates clearly and respectfully
What the role includes:
• General housekeeping duties (sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, laundry, etc.)
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Supporting the team by stepping in for casual and last-minute call-ins.

Our September Activities Calendar is here, and we’re rolling into fall with a full month of creativity, connection, and community fun. From chair yoga and choir to bowling, watercolor painting, theme days, and special programs, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. 🎨🎶🎳

We’ve also got some exciting special events lined up — InterGen Technology Support, ATB Donuts & Defense, our monthly Birthday Party, and a meaningful National Day for Truth & Reconciliation program. 💛

🎨 Heritage Day Parade Fun!

Our residents went all out today—hand‑painting every sign and creating decorations for our float! Even though we didn’t take home a win this year, the laughter, teamwork, and creativity made it a day to remember.

A heartfelt thank‑you to the HandiBus Association for donating the use of the Town’s HandiBus and driver. Your generosity helped make our parade experience possible, and we’re so grateful! 💛

What a beautiful Heritage Week we are having at Chinook Lodge. Our Petting Zoo brought so many smiles, warm memories, and maybe even a few new animal crushes. 🐐💚 (We won’t name names… but some of you were very tempted to smuggle a bunny home.)

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Cardston & District FCSS for supporting this event, Gentle Giant Acres for sharing their wonderful animals, and What’s Pop’n Pop Shop for generously providing drinks and a $50 gift card. And to our dedicated volunteers—you showed up with heart, energy, and the ability to wrangle both animals and residents. Truly heroic.

Now… the moment you’ve all been waiting for! 🎁

✨ Pow Wow at the Re*****on Carriage Museum! ✨

Our residents had an absolute blast today watching the Pow Wow Demonstration at the Re*****on Carriage Museum. It was such a beautiful afternoon to enjoy the show together — lots of smiles, laughter, and great memories made.

A huge thank‑you to the Town of Cardston for providing transportation and making sure our residents could be included. Their support means the world to us, and it truly made today special.

We had a great time and can’t wait for the next outing! 💛🚌🎉

Petting Zoo Fun

Today’s petting zoo has been an absolute hit — goats, bunnies, giggles, and sunshine all around! If you haven’t stopped by yet, you’ve still got 15 minutes left to come enjoy the animals and grab a few adorable photos. Thanks to everyone who’s made this such a joyful afternoon!
