🦁 A Wonderful Evening at the Canso Lions Club! 🦞🥩

Last Wednesday, members of the Canso Lions Club gathered for our yearly special meal, sharing a great evening of friendship, laughter, and fellowship over delicious lobster and steak.

As tradition, we ended the meeting with our roll dice activity, bringing a fun and cheerful close to the night. These moments remind us that Lions service is not only about helping our community, but also about strengthening the bonds that keep our Club active and united.

Thank you to everyone who helped organize, prepare, and make this special evening possible.

📣 This was just one road.

There are many more. Other Lions were cleaning other roads during this week, as Wilmot Street and Boyd Street in Canso Town.

We will:
✔️ Repeat this cleanup in the fall
✔️ Track changes over time
✔️ Keep sharing results

But real change depends on all of us.

👉 Don’t throw waste from your vehicle
👉 Take your garbage with you
👉 Help protect our community

Because if we don’t change behavior, we will keep cleaning forever.

We found:
▪️ Groups of lottery tickets
▪️ Beer cans and soda cans
▪️ Takeaway coffee cups

Last Saturday, as part of the Environmental Week of Service of Lions Clubs International, the Canso Lions Club carried out a cleanup along Dover Road.

4 Lions.
6 hours.
4 km of road.

And we couldn’t even finish.

This is not a small problem.
This is our community—and it needs attention.
