Well, Halloween is officially behind us, and what a great night it was! Now, before you know it, you’ll be hearing Christmas music playing over Foodland’s speakers!

So let’s make this year’s Cannington Santa Claus Parade the BIGGEST one yet!

Entry is FREE! It’s a great opportunity to promote your business or organization, show off your creativity, and maybe even take home a Best Looking Float ribbon! Most importantly, it’s a fun way to kick off the holiday season and bring our community together.

The theme is RED & WHITE CHRISTMAS, so let’s see what you can come up with!

Start planning, get creative, gather your crew and let’s make this a Christmas parade to remember!

Well, here comes the cold, snow and everything else we spend half the year complaining about! The good news? You don’t have to host everyone in your living room!

Our Cannington Lions Hall is the perfect place to gather this winter. With a warm, cozy space, tables and chairs, and a full kitchen available, it’s ideal for winter birthday parties, big family dinners, workout classes, community gatherings and so much more!

Don’t let the winter weather keep you cooped up. Bring everyone together and make yourself at home at the Cannington Lions Hall!

The possibilities are almost endless!

What a great night at our Paint A Pumpkin Night at the Cannington Lions Hall! We had an awesome turnout, and there were some seriously spooky and creative pumpkins by the end of the evening! A huge thank you to Clark Family Farms for generously providing the pumpkins and helping make this event possible. Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us for a fun night of fall activities. We love seeing our community come together.

WOW, Cannington, you really showed up! 🎉 This past Saturday was our annual Fall Bottle and Scrap Drive, and we collected an incredible 10,000 cans! Want to see what 10,000 cans looks like crammed into Lions Ben’s van and trailer? Scroll through the pictures and see for yourself! A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by with cans, bottles and scrap metal to support your Cannington Lions. A big shoutout to 1st Cannington Scouts, who went door to door in select neighbourhoods collecting bottles, and to Port Perry Salvage for their continued support. We couldn’t do it without the generosity of our community and our amazing local partners. Well done, everyone, and thank you for helping your Cannington Lions continue to serve our community! 🦁

Cold morning? No problem! Your Cannington Lions and Lioness, plus a little lion bundled up and hit the ditches Saturday morning, picking litter along Cameron Street East and out towards Simcoe Street. It was definitely a chilly start to the day, but somebody’s got to do it! We’re just out here doing our part to keep Cannington beautiful, one piece of litter at a time. We Serve!
