Finding and keeping affordable housing can be very challenging in the Bow Valley, and sometimes a little extra support can make all the difference.

Through our Rent Supplement Program, Bow Valley Regional Housing helps eligible households better-afford safe rental housing by providing financial assistance toward monthly rent in the private market.

This program allows individuals, seniors, couples, and families to remain connected to their community while living in housing that meets their needs and budget.

Bow Valley Palliative is proud to be part of bringing these Memory Café gatherings to life — creating a welcoming space for people living with dementia and their caregivers to connect, share, and simply enjoy time together.

Each session includes a gentle activity and time to connect, followed by light refreshments — offering both meaningful engagement and a sense of community.

These events are made possible through strong local partnerships with the Town of Canmore, Town of Banff, FCSS, and Alberta Health Services, with support from the Connecting People and Community for Living Well group.

What a wonderful Spring Garden Party!

On behalf of everyone at Bow River Lodge and Bow Valley Regional Housing, thank you to all the residents, families, volunteers, staff, entertainers, community partners, and visitors who joined us on Saturday.

From the laughter at the petting zoo and photo booth to the music, crafts, games, and conversations shared throughout the afternoon, it was a fantastic celebration of community and connection.

Events like these remind us how fortunate we are to live in a community that values inclusion, friendship, and supporting one another across generations.

A special thank you to everyone who helped organize, volunteer, donate, participate, and attend. Your support helped make the day such a success.

We hope everyone had as much fun as we did, and we look forward to seeing you again at future Bow River Lodge events!
