The sacrifices in the Old Testament point us to Jesus—the perfect sacrifice for our sins. We can't earn God's forgiveness through good works; only Christ can make us right with God.

Have you ever been so overwhelmed that you didn't know what to pray?

Romans 8:26 reminds us that even when words fail, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us. In our weakness, He brings our deepest needs before God.

You don't need the perfect prayer—the Spirit is already at work, closer than you think.

"In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings.”— Romans 8:26 (CSB)

We often picture Jesus like this: He came, He died, He rose... and then He left. Now we're just holding down the fort until He comes back.

But that's not the whole story.

Jesus is doing something right now. Seated at the right hand of the Father, He reigns above every anxiety, diagnosis, political situation, and sleepless night. He is not distant or indifferent—He is King.

The ascension wasn't Jesus' departure; it was His enthronement.

This week's sermon reminded us that Jesus is above it all and actively reigning.
