Congratulations to Michelle for guessing the the weight of Big Chungas the Red Russian garlic. He weighed in at 429 gms. Michelle took Chungas home for her clever guess.

During our Saturday get together in the garden, the Big Hug tomato is up for grabs in our next Guess the Weight contest. Guess her weight and you can take her home.

Hey Everyone! Brooke here, your newest Board Member. I want to start a bit of a series on some recipes for some of our wonderful harvests this season!

First up is Spaghetti Aglio e Olio - a garlic-forward dish from our AMAZING garlic harvest last week!

And the winners of the Guess the Weight of Canmore Community Garden’s Biggest Ever Zucchini Contest are Brooke Reid and Erik Carleton - both guessed the correct weight. There were a few other close guesses also.

We will run another contest soon. Stay tuned and plan to attend for your chance to win our next jumbo zucchini.

Hi Gardeners!

I hope you've all been enjoying the summer season. To celebrate you all for your hard work this spring and summer season, we are hosting a BBQ! It will be held on July 15 from 5-7pm. There will be vegetarian and beef burgers, some drinks, and we ask that you bring a side dish or dessert. Please check out our link below to RSVP and sign up for your potluck option.

We also are trying our best to be zero waste with this event, so please bring your own plates, cups, cutlery, and napkins.

After some cool (cold) temps and rain (lots) things are growing. We are enjoying the early greens, green onions and rumour has it there will soon be radishes of all types to feast on. Busy bee in the garden today starting at 5 pm. Come if you’re able. 🥦🌱🥬🫜
