The things we return to, think about, long for, and thank God for often expose what we value most, sometimes before we even realize it ourselves.

🌿Taking whole-life discipleship on the road!

We loved getting to be part of at the Mission Northwest Annual Conference last week! Donna and the inSPIRE team were at Mission Northwest’s Annual Conference, leading workshops and connecting with pastors and ministry leaders.

From the conference theme, The Whole Word for the Whole World, to conversations around the table, there was a common thread:

The Gospel is meant to shape a whole life.✨
Discipleship isn’t just something we learn. It’s something we need to live.

Equipping leaders, encouraging churches, living out the mission. Faith for a whole life 🤍

Traffic.
Notifications.
Deadlines.
Opinions.
Problems that need solving.
The noise of life can become so loud that it feels like it’s the only thing there.
But sometimes what changes isn’t the noise.
It’s what we choose to listen for.
Where is God inviting you to shift your attention today?

We usually ask, “Is this bad for me?”

Maybe there’s a better question:

What is this forming in me?

What we watch.
What we scroll.
What we listen to.
What gets our attention over and over again.

Little by little, our input becomes influence.

Whole-life discipleship means inviting God into that part of our lives too.

📖Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 (NIV)

✨Diving into the "R" of SPIRE: Relational Wholeness

Never underestimate what God can do through one faithful person.
One person who chooses grace.
One person who stays steady.
One person who keeps loving through the mess.

Family life can be beautiful, complicated, sacrificial, and misunderstood, sometimes all at the same time.

But change can begin with one person.
One person bringing faithfulness into the mess.
One person making home a place of holy belonging.
One person loving like it matters.
🌿That’s how change begins.

Can you imagine the difference it would make if even ONE person in every family loved like Mary and Joseph? What if it starts with you?

✨Diving into the "R" of SPIRE: Relational Wholeness
Your kids don’t need a perfect family. They need one that keeps showing up.

For every parent and caregiver:
Not perfect.
Not easy.
Just faithful.

Mary and Joseph didn’t raise Jesus in ideal circumstances. There was uncertainty, sacrifice, and fear, and still, they showed up.

They cared for him.
They protected him.
They did what they could, with what they had.

That kind of love matters.

🌿That’s faithfulness in family.

Rather, he points out that his mother and father cared for him… did what they could, with what they had.

While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

We protect them.
Love them.
Show up for them.
Stay faithful when it gets messy.

We often think of ministry as something “out there”, the work we do, the people we serve, the impact we make. But what if one of the most sacred places we live out our faith is at home?

Family may be imperfect. It may be stretching. It may ask more of us than we expected.

But it is also holy ground.

🌿That’s faithfulness in family.

We work and we minister, but we do not neglect loving and raising our families.

Every year Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem for the Passover festival.
