Up to $2,700 is available for students enrolled in a Canadian Faculty of Medicine seeking an MD designation who graduated from high school in the Battle River Community Foundation service area. Strong preference is given to first-year students, those with community service experience, and those considering a career in rural medicine. Deadline to apply is Monday, June 15, 2026. Are you a nursing student with roots in our region? The Donna and Fred Vanouck Nursing Education Fund is now accepting applications! Up to $2,100 is available for students enrolled full-time in an accredited nursing education program in Canada who graduated from a public or Catholic high school in Camrose County, Flagstaff County, Beaver County, or any city, town, or village within those county boundaries. This scholarship is open to students in any year of an LPN, RN, BScN, RPN, or advanced nursing degree program. The deadline to apply is Monday, June 15, 2026.
