Bobby Bazini is coming to The Bailey Theatre 🎤🎵
Did you know he released his very first album in French last September?
"For fifteen years, fans and journalists have asked Bobby Bazini why he doesn’t sing in French. The desire was always there, but doubt and timing held him back—until now. After several false starts, including an unfinished 2022 project with longtime collaborator Connor Seidel, Bobby set the idea aside to focus on his English album Pearl and an extensive tour across Canada and Europe.
During that period, he also returned to school to complete his high school diploma. Reconnecting with his former French teacher reignited his dream of writing in his first language. Through reading, writing, and rediscovering his full name—Bobby Bazinet—he found a new voice.
The concept for Seul au cinéma emerged on tour, inspired by an afternoon wandering through empty movie theatres in Saint-Eustache. Nine rooms, nine songs, nine stories of identity and solitude.
Musically, Bobby and Connor drew from early-2000s acoustic textures and French influences like Daniel Bélanger and Jim et Bertrand, blending guitars, synths, and cinematic ambience. With contributions from Robbie Kuster, Conner Molander, Alex Francoeur, and Bobby’s partner Odessa Pagé, Seul au cinéma reflects his evolution—linguistic, musical, and personal.
Releasing September 19, it marks Bobby Bazini’s most intimate and authentic work yet."
