Rosehaven, Louise Jensen, and Memory Lane residents wrote down what they were thankful for on leaves and pumpkins and posted them around the "Thankful Tree" on the 2nd floor atrium.

Also, a handful of Rosehaven residents made the thankful trees during crafts.

What are you thankful for?

A heartening post for your Friday care of the Crossroads Day Program!

CDP welcomed a special guest, Sherrill, along with Cuddle, her beautiful cockatoo. Our clients really enjoyed spending time with them and were happy to interact with Cuddle. Pet therapy provides comfort, joy, social connection, and meaningful engagement for seniors. It was a wonderful and memorable visit for everyone!

We have a spooky and very cute mystery at Louise Jensen. Someone has put out little Halloween themed rubber duckies and pens all around! 🤔

Thank you, seniors!

Today - October 1st - is National Seniors Day!

This is an occasion for all Canadians to join in celebrating older adults across Canada—whether a parent, a co-worker, a neighbour or a friend. The Government of Canada is proud to acknowledge the contributions that older adults in Canada have made and continue to make to our families, communities and society.

This year is especially significant as we celebrate the 15th anniversary of National Seniors Day. It also coincidentally marks the 60th anniversary of the Canada Pension Plan (CPP), a cornerstone of Canada's retirement income system that has helped provide financial security to Canadians for six decades.

Today at The Bethany Group, we're honouring Orange Shirt Day and The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We held a ceremony in the Auditorium followed by a Drum Circle with Felicity of Broken Drum Creative.

Thank you, Felicity, for sharing such a powerful experience with us.

We also did a Facebook Live of the ceremony and drum circle; you can watch that for the next 30 days.

Please note that our offices will be closed tomorrow from 8am-4:30.
