Last week, Bethany Meadows held a wheelchair and walker Show N' Shine!

Residents were showcased with decorated wheelchairs and walkers along with a special song to match each one.

We hosted the Queen, Friendly Giant and our very own Red Hot Chili Pepper to name a few.

Participants made their way down a red-carpet walkway while being cheered on by staff with shakers and streamers.

Loads of smiles, fun and laughter that day!

Today, August 6th, is Jamaican Independence Day! Jamaica gained independence in 1962, making it the 64th observance. Happy Independence Day to everyone who is celebrating!

It's a celebration of freedom, resilience, and culture. It honors the struggles of the past, celebrates the richness of Jamaican life today, and keeps hope alive for a brighter future.

We're celebrating with decorations in the Heritage Building Cafeteria in Camrose along with a special Jerk Chicken cafeteria menu. It was delicious!
