If you still have one of the Cargill Cares wristband cards that were provided to children in our community through the Camrose BGC (formerly the Boys & Girls Club), please bring it to the Camrose & District Chamber of Commerce booth on the Jaywalkers Jamboree grounds in Downtown Camrose (4949 – 50 Street) no later than 5:00 PM today.

These cards were originally intended to be redeemed by last Thursday; however, we recognize that this may not have been communicated effectively. As a result, we will honour them for wristband tickets only until 5:00 PM today.

Unfortunately, we are unable to redeem them after that time.

Please do not attempt to redeem these cards at the West Coast Amusements ticket booths, as they are unable to accept them.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, and we hope everyone enjoys the remainder of Jaywalkers Jamboree!

June 5th is BGC Club Day! 💙

Today, we're celebrating our Creative Jacks display! This project is made up of photos of our members and staff. Together, these giant jacks represent the friendships, connections, support, and sense of belonging that make our Club community so special.

Every photo tells a story of a relationship built, a memory shared, and a young person who has found a place to belong. Just like the pieces of our giant jacks come together to create something meaningful, our members, staff, volunteers, and families help create a Club where everyone is welcomed, supported, and encouraged to grow.

At BGC Camrose, we believe that strong connections help young people rise up together, and our Creative Jacks are a reminder of the incredible community we have built along the way.

Our final week of programming was full of fun! ⚾🔬🌿 Members visited the baseball diamonds, explored rocks and crystals with microscopes, and enjoyed a nature walk!

We had some very special guests from Seasons join us to make Perler bead creations with our members, and they also brought a generous craft donation. 🎨✨ A special thank you to Seasons and Lisa Marie Austin for your kindness, generosity, and for spending time with our members! 💙😊

We wrapped up this program year with a trip to the spray park, where members played games, shared laughs, and enjoyed one last afternoon together. 💦☀️❤️

This week also marked the farewell of one of our beloved staff members, Emily. ✨ Her dedication, kindness, and commitment to our members have made a lasting impact, and she will be greatly missed by both staff and families. We are incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed during her time with BGC Camrose. ❤️

🎉What a way to celebrate an amazing year! Our Youth Mentors headed to Activate for their Wind Up Celebration, and it was the perfect way to wrap up a season full of leadership, growth, volunteering, and hard work. 💙💚

From volunteering their time to supporting younger members and building new skills throughout the year, these mentors have been such an important part of BGC Camrose. We are so proud of everything they accomplished this season!

We had SO much fun climbing, running, laughing, competing, and making memories together. Thank you to all of our mentors for the energy, kindness, and dedication you brought to the program this year!🫶

June 5 is BGC Club Day! This week we are recognizing key spaces within our Club. Today, we highlight our recreation space, as well as our Beyblade and LEGO corners, as each of these spaces provides opportunities for creativity, learning, and making new friends.

At BGC Camrose, we celebrate the spaces that help make our Club a place where every young person feels welcome, included, and supported. Whether youth are looking to be creative, active, social, or simply have a place to belong, we aim to provide opportunities that meet their interests and needs.

This week members made filtration systems to see whose dirty water would come out the clearest 💧🪣🔬 We took the mentors out for some volleyball fun 🏐☀️ and then brought out rocks for the kids to paint 🎨🪨 They came up with so many fun and creative ideas 🌈✨

To end off the week we headed to the park where members played baseball ⚾, ran around with friends 🌳☀️, and let their imaginations soar through games and creative play 😊🛝 BGC Canada
