The Sweeterie are always amazing and they outdid themselves today, and our community matched their energy! All the Dolly Donuts were sold out and it was a busy and fun day by all accounts. Thank you to everyone who came out.

Give Like Dolly Day is coming September 25!
Dolly Parton believed in giving back and helping children dream bigger—and this year, we’re celebrating that spirit right here in Camrose county through Give Like Dolly Day. On September 25, we’re inviting our community to join us in giving back to children by supporting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Camrose. Your support helps make it possible for children in our community to receive a free, high-quality book every month from birth to age 5.

Head to https://imaginationlibrary.com/ca/affiliate/ABCAMROSE/ to learn more or donate directly. We are also being supported by The Sweeterie - they are baking up delicious Dolly Donuts for September 25th and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Imagination Library!

The CMA is putting on a two-hour live special for Dolly called “I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton.”

October 21, live on ABC and on Disney+, then on Hulu the next day. Live performances, old footage, and people telling stories about her.

They are filming it at Belmont University's Fisher Center, where her musical premiered last year. Belmont also built a set of courses with her called DOLLY U back in January.

Robert Deaton is producing. He said he hopes it feels like the tribute his friend deserves.

A portion of what it makes goes to the Imagination Library, and Disney is chipping in, too.

Sarah Trahern said this industry owes her a debt that words alone cannot repay.

We’re sending love to the family and friends of a woman who shared her love of books and music with the world. Rest in power, Dolly.
